Youth Chambre

In Park Groot Schijn at Rivierenhof in Deurne a masterplan has made a cluster for youth facilities, sports infrastructure and schoolgrounds, all entwined in a public park. Centrally located, new rooms for the local youth movement have been built.

The arrangement of a farmstead around a central square creates a welcoming and safe environment where children can play at will. The archetypical form of a barn gives a multipurpose space that can be used in several ways, while blending in the park at the same time. Wooden sheds built in CLT constructions and recognizable, but sturdy materials create a familiar surrounding where youth movements can appropriate their space.
